Award-winning photographer Alex Snyder spends a lot of time in Hocking Hills taking pictures of endangered animals, photographing distant cities he travels to, and when he's not doing one of those two, he's photographing a wedding or party for one of his clients.
Alex's old site was complicated, hard to read, and had a blog hosted off-site with a completely different design. He needed a new website that would properly showcase his images without competing with them for attention, in addition to needing it to integrate the blog hosted at a separate URL into his existing website. We provided Alex with a minimalist design including a discreet drop-down navigation system that leaves the focus on his work.
To solve Alex's blog integration needs, we provided him with a customized content management system (CMS) that not only controls the blog portion of his site but also allows him to easily edit his main site on the fly without needing to be proficient in web coding.
Due to the nature of Alex Snyder's business, it became apparant that one single design would not be uniformly appropriate for clients there for travel or nature photography and clients there for wedding or senior photography services. We solved this by building a second site within his site for his studio business, complete with a separate tiered gallery structure in a bright theme of eggshell and blues.
